The latest shooting.

The reaction of the government to the shooting of two national gaurdsmen was predictable. Trump's kneejerk is to ban immigrants from "third world countries"...although much of America is very third world.

But his focus is the individual shooter's nationality. Nevermind that most mass murderers - shooters and bombers- in the past decades have been white American males.

Violence always is met with more violence. It creates it, gives birth to it.

I personally expected a similiar reaction to the violence of the government against its citizens in the past 6 months.

Watching masked ICE thugs abuse and kidnap people off the streets justly angers most people. Having a President threaten cities with invasion by armed troops angers and scares people. All this creates a seething caldron of resentment, fear, frustration, and anger.

And the repression of Free Speech by pouring through phones, media, etc is an affront to the alleged Rights we have; but it also  limited peoples ability to address just grievances.

When you maltreat people, deprive them of any form of protest against it, muzzle them, rage builds. And rage erupts into violence. The longer it seethes and the worse the oppressive conditions become the more dangerous the rage is.

It is quite reasonable to expect lots more violence.

There are certainly other aspects to all this. For one the absence of any reasonable gun control laws. In the past ten years "conservatives" have made sure that weapons of war are easily available... it is easier to get an AR15 than it is to avoid being homeless.

That millions of Americans are homeless, without food or basic healthcare so that billionaires can have more money is evil.

Cutting supports for those people in order to avoid taxing the obscenly wealthy is immoral.

Yet that is the social and economic violence we see the government inflicting. And now this same bunch is criminalizing the very homelessness they created through their economic policies.

We dont need to remove immigrants or assylum seekers; we need to remove the polititians who have made these things happen.
