When I was a kid Id watch Jack Lalane and Happy the dog on TV with my mother. He was a health and fitness guy who did excercises and promoted healthy eating habits...and remained fit and healthy til the age of 96.  I have always remembered his focus on green vegetables. The latest shooting.

 The reaction of the government to the shooting of two national gaurdsmen was predictable. Trump's kneejerk is to ban immigrants from "third world countries"...although much of America is very third world.  But his focus is the individual shooter's nationality. Nevermind that most mass murderers - shooters and bombers- in the past decades have been white American males. Violence always is met with more violence. It creates it, gives birth to it.  I personally expected a similiar reaction to the violence of the government against its citizens in the past 6 months.  Watching masked ICE thugs abuse and kidnap people off the streets justly angers most people. Having a President threaten cities with invasion by armed troops angers and scares people. All this creates a seething caldron of resentment, fear, frustration, and anger. On Biblical Grounds?

 I just now read an article about a Texas polititians wife filing for divorce " on Biblical grounds ." Filing for divorce wouldnt be remarkable. Happens all the time.  But "on Biblical grounds"? That is like calling the police because someone blasphemed, or was alleged to be a heretic. In Saudi Arabia or Iran this might occur because there is no wall of separation between Church and State. They have "Sharia Law"- something Texas  "conservatives" frequently rail against. But this aforementioned divorce filing is in Texas...so does this import that  "Christian Sharia" Law is the thing in Texas? Is this state a theocracy now? That is damn scary!  Civil marriage is essentially just registration of corporate status involving the legal and financial matters of two individuals. I have believed all along that the coverup of the Epstein stuff isnt about sexual perversion or embarassment to Trump. Bad Moon Rising

 There are very disturbing events ongoing in the US. Among them the the militarization of large cities by the national guard, and the building up of a heavily armed, masked,  and unaccountable national police force- ICE.  The official excuse for these actions makes no sense: the clumsy persecution and silencing of the President's political opposition, reminiscent of Generalisimo Franco's actions in Spain or Stalin's brutal suppression in Russia ; and deportation of "illegal immigrants" (hispanics) similiar to Hitler's initial purging of Jews from Germany.  But both those are so absurdly ham handed, stupid,  and hugely unpopular that no democratically elected polititian would dare do them. It would normally be polititical suicide and result in removal from office and legal actions. My kind

 During the invasion of Iraq- when torture was declared acceptable, Rendition was disapprearing folk labeled as "terrorists", the Patriot Act was limiting habeas corpus and everyone was potentially a "terrorist", etc and Iraqis were being " liberated" from their lives, I was explaining the Truth to a lady: the immoral horrors of what the US was doing, and how we all had blood on our hands. Usually when I would say these things people would morph into mindless brainwashed zombies and drone the Fox news mantra: "I support the President." But this lady was sincere.
